Hi, I’m Lauren!

Movement has always been a big part of my life — from running track and cross country to competing with the Windsor Lancers during my undergraduate degree. But it was recurring injuries in university that truly shaped my path. Experiencing pain and setbacks firsthand inspired me to pursue a career focused on understanding the body and helping others move and feel better.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics with a minor in Psychology, followed by a Master’s in the Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton.  I am now a professional member of the OSTCAN association, with nine years of post-secondary education rooted in a deep curiosity for how the body works as a whole.

My approach is gentle, holistic, and individualized. I work with the body’s natural ability to heal and self-regulate, creating a calm and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and cared for. I enjoy working with patients of all ages — from infants to seniors — and helping you return to the activities you love.

Where does Osteopathy come from?

Andrew Taylor Still (1828–1917) founded osteopathy in the late 1800s after becoming dissatisfied with the medical practices of his time. Through extensive study of anatomy, he developed a philosophy centered on the body’s natural ability to heal when structure and function are in balance.

The Osteopathic Principles

Osteopathy is guided by a few key principles:

• The body is a dynamic unit of function — all systems are interconnected.

• The body is self-healing and self-regulating — it has an inherent ability to maintain balance.

• Structure and function are interrelated — how the body moves and is aligned affects how it functions.

These principles continue to shape modern osteopathic care, focusing on supporting the body as a whole rather than just treating symptoms.
